Mumbai bizman nabbed for cheating builder of Rs 12 cr

The Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) of the Crime Branch on Wednesday night arrested a Mumbai-based builder Nilesh Mahendra Tanna (30) for cheating a Pune-based builder Raju Punjabi to the tune of Rs 12 crore.
He was nabbed on the charge of forging documents related to 23 hectares of a plot in Marunji village near Hinjewadi IT Park.
The forged documents were related to a project that is owned by Aniruddha Deshpande, who is the managing director of City Corporation Ltd and other partners. Deshpande lodged the complaint at Deccan police station on Tuesday night against Tanna and his accomplices.
