Mumbai Police arrest jewellery company employee for staging robbery; valuables worth Rs 60.65 lakh recovered

MIDC Police have arrested a jewellery company employee and his alleged accomplice for staging a fake robbery involving jewellery worth Rs 60.65 lakh. Investigators uncovered discrepancies in the employee's accident claim, analysed hundreds of CCTV footage recordings, and recovered the valuables

During interrogation, the employee and his accomplice were confronted with evidence, following which they allegedly confessed to having conspired and fabricated the robbery. PIC/MUMBAI POLICE
The MIDC Police in Mumbai have arrested an employee of a jewellery company for allegedly staging a robbery and misappropriating gold ornaments worth Rs 60.65 lakh entrusted to him for delivery.
According to the complaint lodged by the company, Avinash Gangadhar Kadam (26), an employee of Goldstar Company, had been assigned to deliver jewellery worth Rs 60,65,656.
