A man from Maharashtra's Bhiwandi was arrested on Sunday for allegedly stabbing his wife to death because he suspected that his wife had an extramarital affair.
25-year old Sabi Alam Abdul Gafar Ansari is a resident of Mhada colony and stabbed his wife, Nazia Ansari eight times with a knife.

The inspector at Nizampur police station, Manikrao Jadhav said that the accused is a drug addict.
He told <a title="Woman in Bhiwandi dies after being stabbed eight times by husband" href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/mumbai-news/woman-in-bhiwandi-dies-after-being-stabbed-eight-times-by-husband/story-umkBfSf6E3O0oQXD65RMaL.html" target="_blank">Hindustan Times</a>, "Gafar and Nazia married around four years ago. It was a love marriage. However, within a year, they started quarrelling over different issues. Gafar also had doubts that his wife was in a relationship with another man."
Jadhav said, "They had frequent arguments over it. On Sunday, Gafar left home early in the morning and returned drunk. They had another argument and Ansari stabbed his wife eight times."
Nazia was taken to the hospital but she succumbed to her injuries and blood loss.
A complaint was registered by Gafar at Nizampur police station. The police registered a murder case under sections 302, 352 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 37 (1) and 154 of the Maharashtra Police Act.

Zee TV producer died of drowning in Aarey pond, reveals primary report The primary report on the cause of death of the senior producer at Zee TV, Sohan Chauhan on Sunday, has revealed drowning. His last rites were performed on Monday in the presence of his wife, brother and other relatives. The family has made no complaint, the police said. During the investigation, the cops from Aarey police station checked CCTV footage in which he was seen coming out of the lift around 3.45am on Sunday. He had a bottle of Thums Up in one hand.
