A group of five men, including two minors, were caught harassing women at Mumbai's Marine Drive. The accused were on their bikes while committing the crime.
The accused have been identified by the police as Chembur residents and 21-year-old Prem Nikalje, 21-year-old Jagmohan Prasad and 21-year-old Vikas Chourasia. The police have arrested the trio. Meanwhile the two minors of the gang have been sent to a children&rsquo;s correction home.
The bikers fled Marine Drive after 57-year-old Finance Executive, Ashit Shroff spotted them approaching some women on their morning walk. A <a href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/mumbai-news/5-including-2-minors-sexually-harass-women-at-marine-drive-3-arrested/story-T1N60DZPvmnKuxO0JK7qBI.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">report in the Hindustan Times</a> quotes a police officer as having stated, "<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/articles/mumbai-poet-shamir-rueben-allegedly-asked-underage-girls-to-send-him-nude-photos/19040197" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The men sexually harassed the women</a>, who pleaded with the bikers to leave them alone. The accused also passed sexually explicit comments and asked the women for their mobile numbers. When Shroff intervened, they got scared and fled."
As per the <a href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/mumbai-news/5-including-2-minors-sexually-harass-women-at-marine-drive-3-arrested/story-T1N60DZPvmnKuxO0JK7qBI.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">HT report</a>, The men have been booked under Sections 354, 509, 143 and 342 of the Indian Penal Code for insulting and outraging the modesty of a woman, unlawful assembly and wrongful confinement, as well as, Section 110 of the Maharashtra Police Act for indecent behaviour in public.
