Mumbai Crime: Self-proclaimed ‘super cop’ caught taking bribe of Rs 40,000

Self-proclaimed ‘super cop’ Sujata Patil was on Friday caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a shop owner. Patil, the assistant commissioner of police at Meghwadi division, had allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh to register his complaint.
According to police, Subhash Nagar has a shop in Jogeshwari East, which he had given on rent to a woman and her associates. He got the shop back on October 5, but later found its lock broken by the woman he had rented out the shop to.
