<p>Mumbai crime: In a shocking incident, a jewellery shop in south Mumbai was allegedly robbed at gunpoint and gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees, the police sources said on Saturday.</p>
<p>In the matter, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-crime-two-held-for-posing-as-cops-extorting-money-23315851" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>the LT Marg police in Mumbai</strong></a> have registered an FIR against unknown individuals for allegedly robbing 130 grams of gold from a jewellery shop at gunpoint.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Three people came to my shop on Thursday. One of them stood outside my shop while two entered. One of the alleged accused pointed a gun at me, and the other robbed 130 grams of gold in front of my eyes. No one said a thing; they beat me and then looted me. I have submitted the CCTV footage of the incident to the police,&rdquo; said Prashant Shaw, the owner of the jewelry shop.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/maharashtra-eight-persons-booked-for-cheating-navi-mumbai-man-his-kin-of-rs-65-lakh-23319365" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>The police have registered an FIR</strong></a> against unknown individuals under Section 394 (Voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and under the relevant sections of the Arms Act.</p>
<p>Confirming the registration of an offence, LT Marg police station Senior PI Dyaneshwar Wagh said, &ldquo;We have registered an FIR in this matter and the case is at its primary stage.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Police sources said that further investigations in the matter were underway.</p><p>
