Anil Dubey deposited Rs 10 lakh of the Rs 26 lakh he had embezzled from Axis Bank in his account but the money automatically got adjusted against some transactions that he had made earlier

The branch bank where Dubey allegedly committed the crime
A Vasai court on Friday remanded Axis Bank manager Anil Dube, accused of killing his former colleague and injuring another inside an ICICI Bank branch, in judicial custody for 14 days. Dube was caught moments after he took away over Rs 3 crore in cash and gold from his former workplace in Virar last week.
Investigation so far has revealed that Dube was neck-deep in debts and didn’t intend to rob the bank in the first place. He had misappropriated Rs 26 lakh from Axis Bank where he worked as a manager at its Naigaon branch.
