Man impersonating cop dupes senior citizen of gold worth over Rs 97,000 in Kandivali, held; search on for aide

The stolen gold ornaments included a gold chain worth Rs 50,000, a gold ring worth Rs 15,450 and one more gold ring worth Rs 32,000 of a total value of Rs 97,450, the official said

The Kandivali Police in Mumbai have arrested a man who allegedly posed as a police officer and duped a senior citizen into handing over his gold jewellery worth Rs 97,450, officials said.

The accused has been identified as Sajjad Garibshah Pathan alias Irani, while his associate is still on the run.
