Mumbai: Absconding for 36 years, man finally held in attempt to murder case

After evading arrest for 36 years, a 60-year-old man accused in a 1990 attempt to murder case has been nabbed by Borivli police from Gujarat. The accused, who jumped bail and lived under the radar for decades, was traced through call data analysis and sustained tracking

The Borivli police have arrested a 60-year-old man who had been absconding for 36 years after jumping bail in a 1990 attempt to murder case. The accused, Rajesh Shaymlal Singh, was traced to Gujarat and apprehended, enabling long-pending trial proceedings to resume.
