Mumbai Police externs 21 habitual offenders from eastern suburbs of city to curb crime

According to police officials, externment orders were issued against individuals allegedly involved in offences including assault, criminal intimidation, extortion, robbery, illegal activities and other crimes affecting public peace

The Mumbai Police have externed 21 habitual offenders from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai as part of a preventive measure to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the eastern suburbs of the city, officials said on Friday.

The action was carried out by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Abhaysingh Deshmukh over the past two months against accused persons with repeated criminal records linked to areas under Bhandup, Kanjurmarg, Vikhroli, Parksite and Mulund police stations.
