A 35-year-old bank manager from Dadar in Mumbai has filed a police complaint against a former Aadhaar centre operator and her lawyer associate, alleging that the duo was blackmailing him for Rs 30 lakh by threatening to register a false rape case.
According to the Dadar police, the complainant, a senior official at a nationalised bank’s South Mumbai branch, met the 26-year-old woman in 2023 while she was working at the Aadhaar enrolment centre located within the same bank, and their relationship became closer over time.
