A Nagpur police team has got into trouble for parading a group of semi-naked minors with criminal record in the city recently. Senior police inspector Khushal Tijare, sub-inspector Vijay Dhumal and five constables of detection branch wing of Jaripatka police station in north Nagpur were booked under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act on Friday for exposing the identity of minors, parading them in semi-nude state on the road and assaulting them.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, five minors armed with swords and other weapons had gone berserk inside a bar, where they were drinking at Jaripatka on September 23 after an argument with the owner, Sanjay Patil and waiters. The teenagers also robbed Patil of some cash before leaving. The incident was captured on CCTV. A team of police officials under Tijare acted on the complaint lodged by Patil and nabbed the accused from an eatery at Patanswangi in Nagpur district the next day.
