Navi Mumbai woman duped of Rs 7.7 lakh in fake railway job scam

A 35-year-old woman from Navi Mumbai was allegedly cheated of Rs 7.7 lakh after being promised a railway job with a fake appointment letter. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the accused for fraud and forgery

A 35-year-old woman from Navi Mumbai was allegedly cheated of Rs 7.7 lakh in a job scam after being lured with the promise of securing employment in the railways. The victim has been identified as Anita Patil, a housewife from Sanpada.
The Sanpada police said that they have registered an FIR based on the complaint by the victim on April 20, naming one Sachin Nalawade as the main accused and his associates — Raja Hegde, Ganesh Mokale, and Prathamesh Lad.
