<p>The police on Thursday said that a man allegedly strangled his 15-year-old son and hanged himself at their house in Maharashtra's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/amp/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-man-axed-to-death-in-thane-village-political-dispute-suspected-23535057" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Palghar district</a>, reported news agency PTI.</p>
<p>The incident occurred in Pimpalsheth village in the tribal-dominated Jawhar taluka on Wednesday, an official said.</p>
<p>Sharad Bhoye (40), a conductor with the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) who was under suspension, strangled his son Bhavesh with a wire rope, sub-inspector Anil Dighole told PTI.</p>
<p>He said Sharad had been under suspension for the last three months and was depressed about the situation.</p>
<p>As per preliminary probe, Bhoye had gone to his farmhouse around noon on Wednesday and strangled his son, a <a href="https://mid-day.com/amp/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/man-accused-in-kalyan-minors-rape-and-murder-case-found-dead-in-navi-mumbai-jail-23518679" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Class 10 student</a>, after he returned home from school, and also banged the boy's body on the floor, causing fatal injuries, reported PTI.</p>
<p>The man then hanged himself from the ceiling in another room in the house, the official said.</p>
<p>Bhoye's father, who lived nearby, discovered the bodies and the authorities were alerted, he said.</p>
<p>The official said the bodies were sent for post-mortem, and a case was registered.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In another case, a 44-year-old woman was arrested from Jaipur for allegedly killing her paramour in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/man-arrested-for-wife-s-murder-near-mumbai-after-informing-cops-that-she-had-died-by-suicide-23512451" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai </a>and attempting to create the impression that it was a suicide, an official said on Wednesday, reported PTI.</p>
<p>According to the official from Dindoshi police station, the married woman, Barkat Rathod, murdered businessman Imamuddin Mansuri (47) and left his body at a hotel in Malad East, a western suburb, last week, reported PTI.</p>
<p>Rathod also sent a message from the victim's phone to his family and police, saying he was dying by suicide as he was fed up with life due to his wife.</p>
<p>A resident of the Mira Road area, Mansuri was in a relationship with Rathod. Police said he and Rathod were forced to sever ties after their respective families found out about their affair. The two were also related, said the official, reported PTI.</p>
<p>After the discovery of Mansuri's body, police sent it for an autopsy, which showed that he had been poisoned and strangled. Subsequent investigation established Rathod's role in the murder, the official said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>Based on technical inputs, police arrested Rathod from the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-father-son-duo-die-by-suicide-on-railway-tracks-23362091" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Rajasthan capital</a> on Tuesday, the official said, adding she has been booked for murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.</p>
