JVLR crash: Teen driver in Mumbai Police custody after ploughing into pedestrians

According to officers, the driver swerved after a woman suddenly came in front of the vehicle, and in the process, hit three pedestrians crossing the road. He allegedly struck a motorcycle before crashing into the victims

A 19-YEAR-old college student was taken into custody after his speeding Hyundai Creta rammed into pedestrians on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) near Mahatma Phule Nagar, Powai, on the evening of May 3. Police said the vehicle was moving at high speed when the driver lost control and knocked down people on the roadside. There were two other occupants in the car at the time of the incident.
