The accused, identified as Kabir Sakat, hails from Satara district and was working in the housing society – where the victim lived with her family – since the past two years.

“In the afternoon, the girl was playing at the ground floor after sometime she requested the accused to take her to her house on the third floor. The guard took her in the lift and took her to the 10th floor instead, where he molested her and tried to rape her.
