Ahmedabad: Panchmahal district police have arrested a police sub-inspector on the charge of dereliction of duty for allegedly altering an FIR filed by a tribal woman on a complaint of rape.

Superintendent of Police Raghavendra Vatsa said that PSI AU Gadhvi was yesterday arrested from his relative's house here. He had been absconding ever since Panchmahal police lodged an FIR against him three months back, the SP said.
