Hyderabad: A 17-year-old boy was arrested for kidnapping a seven-year-old boy in Hyderabad’s Meerpet on Sunday. A report in The Times of India said the boy was picked up by the police within three hours of committing the crime.

The accused, a Class 10 student had demanded a ransom of Rs 3 lakh from the boy’s father identified, as G Raju, a software engineer. He also threatened to kill the boy if he failed to pay the ransom or informed the police.
