<p>In a major breakthrough, police officials have traced 110 lost mobile phones collectively valued at Rs 18.65 lakh and returned them to their owners in Maharashtra's Thane city, officials said on Sunday.</p>
<p>As reported by news agency PTI, these devices had been reported lost in the city's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-to-face-24-hour-water-cut-from-may-7-noon-supply-hit-in-multiple-areas-23628958" rel="nofollow">Kalwa </a>area since last year.</p>
<p>They were traced using technical surveillance and information on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, Kalwa police station's senior inspector Ashok Uttekar said.</p>
<p>The mobile phones were subsequently returned to their original owners after a due verification process, he added.</p>
<h2>Parked two-wheelers damaged in early morning fire in Thane</h2>
<p>Three parked two-wheelers were damaged after a fire broke out near Bhaskar Tower in the Kopri area of Thane East during the early hours of Saturday, officials said.&nbsp;</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/parked-two-wheelers-damaged-in-early-morning-fire-in-thane-23629634" rel="nofollow">Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC)</a>, the incident was reported at around 4:19 am. Following the alert, firefighters reached the spot with a fire engine and began efforts to control the blaze.</p>
<h2>Fire brought under control within 15 minutes</h2>
<p>Officials said the fire was completely extinguished by around 4:34 am. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.</p>
<p>The fire affected three parked two-wheelers, including a TVS Jupiter, a Honda Activa and a Triumph motorcycle.</p>
<p>Authorities said the TVS Jupiter bearing registration number MH 04 MJ 8277, owned by Suresh Patil, was completely gutted in the fire and suffered extensive damage.</p>
<p>A Honda Activa with registration number MH 41 M 2233, owned by Sanket Chavan, and a Triumph motorcycle bearing registration number 24 BH 0352 P, owned by Shubham Chavan, sustained partial damage.</p>
<h2>Cause of fire yet to be determined</h2>
<p>Disaster management officials confirmed that the situation was brought under control promptly and no nearby structures were affected by the blaze.</p>
<p>The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and further investigation is underway, officials said.</p>
<h2>12 electric meters were damaged in a fire at a Thane residential building</h2>
<p>In another incident, a fire broke out in the meter room of a residential building in Maharashtra's <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/fire-breaks-out-in-container-truck-cabin-on-ghodbunder-road-in-thane-23629635" rel="nofollow">Thane city</a> in the early hours of Thursday, damaging 12 electricity meters, an official said.</p>
<p>No person was injured in the blaze, which erupted at 1.12 am in the meter room on the ground floor of the three-storey Sarika Apartment building located in the Pachpakhadi area, Thane regional disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi said.</p>
