Police arrest scriptwriter red-handed from Jogeshwari with a bunch of fake currencies in tune of Rs 5.78 lakh

A 38-year-old TV serial scriptwriter was arrested by Mumbai crime branch's Unit-IX for allegedly smuggling fake Indian currency notes. The accused, identified as Deokumar Patel, is a resident of Nalasopara.
According to the crime branch, they received a tip-off about the accused dealing in fake currencies after which they sent a team to get to the bottom of this matter. DCP detection Akbar Pathan formed a team under the supervision of Senior inspector Mahesh Desai and laid a trap. The cops nabbed Patel when he arrived with the notes in Jogeshwari.
