The 23-year-old victim, along with her family, approached police late on Wednesday night after which an FIR under relevant sections of the IPC was lodged against the victim's husband, Punit Bhardwaj.

She was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where sodomy was confirmed in her medical examination. She was also given medical assistance there, police said.
