Asha Singh (35) alleged that her daughter Anjira (13), a student of Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali High School in Andheri, was assaulted by the school's director Indu Salian over non-payment of school fees.





'Not fair'

Asha had reportedly not paid a daily fee of Rs 25 that accumulated to Rs 5,700 by November. Asha has now filed a complaint with the Amboli police.

"My daughter was as good as molested. She came home with scratch marks and was crying. She is undergoing counselling.

I was ready to pay the fine, but the authorities did not entertain my requests to meet them, as I thought the fine they were imposing was unreasonable.

Why did they have to hit my daughter? This is outrageous!" said Asha.
