The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) yesterday arrested an orderly of a senior police inspector while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a restaurant owner.
According to the ACB officials, the owner of Santosh Restaurant and Bar in Antop Hill had approached them on September 29 complaining that Abdul Salam Shaikh, the orderly of Senior PI Siraj Shaikh, was demanding money from him.
The complainant alleged that despite following all the rules, cops raided his hotel on July 12 around 10.45 pm. He later learnt that he had to pay some money to the local police to continue his business unhindered.
