Asked for his reaction over his daughter featuring in the award-winning film, he said he was delighted at the success of the film and was proud of Frieda's achievement.
Frieda's mother Sylvia Pinto is Principal of a high school in suburban Goregaon.
The Pintos belong to the Mangalorean Catholic community. Frieda, born in October 1984, has done her B A in English Literature from St Xavier's College.
