Hours after the Supreme Court stayed a Bombay High Court verdict of allowing municipal authorities in Maharashtra to kill stray dogs causing "nuisance", the city civic body chief today said he would abide by the decision.

"We will follow the decision of the Supreme Court. I have not seen it...once I see the notice or the copy of the judgement I will comment further. I just know that there is a stay on the order," said Municipal Commissioner Jairaj Phatak.
