<p>On Thursday, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/photo/in-photos-political-bigwigs-reach-mumbai-for-i-n-d-i-a-meet-97111" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Rahul Gandhi</a> cited media reports to question the SEBI investigation into the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/congress-cites-media-reports-to-slam-sebi-probe-into-adani-issue-23306189" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Adani issue</a>. He stated that prominent global financial newspapers have raised very important questions on the Adani matter.</p>
<p>Speaking at a press conference about the Adani issue, Rahul Gandhi stated that the Modi government should conduct a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani matter.</p>
<p>He added, "There was SEBI probe but clean chit given to Adani; very clear something wrong here."</p>
<p>Rahul said, "Joint Parliamentary Committee should be allowed and a thorough investigation should take place in the Adani matter. Why is PM Modi silent, why doesn't he get this investigated, asks Rahul Gandhi on the Adani issue."</p>

<p>Billionaire Gautam Adani's group was on Thursday hit by fresh allegations of associates of the promoter family using Mauritius-based 'opaque' investment funds to secretly invest hundreds of millions of dollars to fuel the spectacular rise in group stocks from 2013 to 2018, a charge the conglomerate denied vehemently.</p>
<p>A thorough investigation should take place in the Adani matter, Rahul Gandhi stated in Mumbai.</p><p>
