Census 2027: Maharashtra appeals to people, govt employees for active participation in digital self-enumeration

Government of Maharashtra has urged officers and citizens to participate in Census 2027 self-enumeration. The online process is open until May 15, while the first phase of house listing will run from May 16 to June 14 across the state

Maharashtra government on Wednesday appealed to all state government officers and employees to actively participate in the ‘Self-Enumeration’ process under the upcoming Census 2027 initiative.

As per the official statement, the appeal comes as part of preparations for the nationwide census exercise being conducted by the Government of India. The officials also asserted that the census 2027 will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will include house listing and a housing census, while the second phase will focus on population enumeration.
