Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has zeroed in on September 23 the auspicious day of Panchami Baisakh for filing his nomination papers.<br /><br />

<p align="center"><span style="font-size: 8pt"><strong>Lucky Day:</strong> Chief Minister Ashok Chavan</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table>According to sources at the Nanded District Collector's Office, Chavan has indicated that he would file his nomination that day.<br /><br />Chavan will be contesting from the Mudked Assembly constituency, where he has successfully won. <br /><br />"It is a very auspicious day and also very lucky for anyone to start a new work," said celebrity astrologer R D Pala. <br /><br />Vaibhav Nath Sharma, a Varanasi-based astrologer, added, "It is the birth anniversary of Adi Shankracharya, so it's a special day."<br /><br />Despite several attempts, the CM remained unavailable for comment.
