Covid-19: After a rise, cases and deaths dip in Mumbai

The city’s test positivity rate saw a marginal dip and remained below 1 per cent on Thursday. While on August 10, it recorded the second wave’s lowest TPR with 0.75 per cent , on Thursday it was 0.77 per cent . The doubling rate improved and was 1,819 days on Thursday

After seeing a marginal rise on Wednesday, Mumbai’s new cases and deaths dipped on Thursday. On Monday, the city had recorded the second wave’s lowest daily cases and fatalities, post which there was a rise for consecutive days. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), 279 new cases were registered along with 7 deaths in Mumbai on Thursday.
