COVID-19: Mumbai sees 1,500-plus cases for second consecutive day

Maharashtra saw 57 more deaths due to COVID-19, with Mumbai accounting for four of them. Of the four deceased, three patients had comorbidities and all of them were above the age of 60.

Mumbai on Thursday registered more than 1,500 new novel Coronavirus cases, for the second consecutive day. With 20,000 COVID-19 tests conducted in a day, the test positivity rate (TR) increased to 7.4 per cent. State’s total tally crossed 22.6 lakh with health department officials confirming 14,317 fresh infections, up from 13,659 on Wednesday.
