Daily Covid-19 deaths drop in Mumbai, cases rise marginally

BMC added 6,149 new Covid infections and seven fatalities in the past 24 hours

After recording Covid-19 fatalities in double digit since Saturday, Mumbai saw a drop in the figure on Tuesday. As per the BMC’s report, the city registered seven new fatalities, and saw a marginal rise in cases and the test positivity rate (TPR), at 6,149 and 12.89 per cent, respectively.

The BMC confirmed 6,149 new cases and reported a TPR of 12.89 per cent on Tuesday. Around 84 per cent of the people turning positive on Tuesday were asymptomatic, and 575 patients were hospitalised and 95 of them are in the ICU.
