Junior ministers from the Shiv Sena in the Maharashtra government are upset with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for not being invited to the cabinet meetings. They have, thus, decided to write to him as well as Uddhav Thackeray this week.

Ravindra Waikar, minister of state for housing and higher and technical education, said, “In our party we don’t write letters to the party chief, we inform him in person.” Other ministers from the Sena feel their hands are tied in spite of handling plum portfolios. “We have been asked not to conduct direct meetings with top bureaucrats,” a minister said on condition of anonymity.
