And the old ones will handle waste segregation scientifically, said Devendra Fadnavis at the Smart City conclave in Kalyan

The recurrent fire breakouts at the various dumping grounds across the city (Deonar, Mulund and Adharwadi) over the past few months have put the BJP-led government in a tough spot. Seeking to address this burning issue, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced yesterday that no Municipal Corporation would be allowed to build a new dumping ground and the old ones will be transformed to handle waste segregation in a scientific manner. He was speaking at the two-day Smart City Conclave held at Kalyan Sports Complex yesterday.
