In what is turning out to be an absurd disappearance, Sajid Patel, a 40-year-old Mumbai native, who has been in Dubai for six years, has gone missing with a truck full of Mars chocolate bars &mdash; worth&nbsp;Rs 1 crore to be precise.

According to Avalon General Land Transport, the road transport company that Sajid had been employed with for two years, all efforts to locate him have ended in failure and the Dubai police has been looped in to track him down.
A timeline On August 4, Sajid was assigned to deliver a container filled with chocolates to the tune of $85,000 to Buraidah in Saudi Arabia.
According to Robinson Rodrigues, General Manager of Avalon, &ldquo;We were in touch with him till August 12 when the GPS showed his location to be in Riyadh. He was to make the delivery on August 13, but just 450 km from Buraidah, we lost contact with him.

First his GPS went off, and then the truck went missing. The truck itself is valued at Rs 50 lakh.&rdquo; Before his disappearance, Sajid had 50 trips across the Gulf under his belt. Inquiries amongst his colleagues have not yielded any results.
Following this, the HR department combed through his documents and discovered his Indian address to be Crystal Apartments in Jogeshwari west. However, that lead has turned out to be a dead end as well, and they couldn&rsquo;t get in touch with anybody there.
&ldquo;We are constantly in touch with the Buraida warehouse and the driver has still not reached there with the consignment. We hope nothing has gone wrong with our employee in Saudi Arabia. Our attempts to contact his family in Mumbai have also not yielded results,&rdquo; an official statement from the company stated.
&ldquo;We have now informed the Dubai police and the legal process to locate him is underway. We have also written to the Indian embassy and hope for a positive reply,&rdquo; said an HR representative from Avalon.
Ground report When mid-day visited the address on his passport, it was found that his relatives now occupy the home, but they said that Sajid had not lived there in eight years and was not even in touch with them.
A relative said, &ldquo;He used to live here earlier, but does not anymore. We have not even met him over the last two to three years. I am aware he was in Dubai, but have no information about him going missing. His family lives somewhere in Mira Road, but I don&rsquo;t have that address.&rdquo;
