The wait for commuters travelling via Monorail, especially senior citizens, to use escalators at stations just got shorter. It has been learnt that Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has decided to finish the installation of escalators at the seven Monorail stations on the Wadala-Chembur corridor by the end of February, instead of March.

Speaking to mid-day, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner B Venugopal Reddy said, “The work of installation of escalators at Monorail stations between Wadala-Chembur is in progress, and we have set the deadline for February-end.”
