In what is believed to be the first arrest made in Mumbai made under the new law banning beef trade, the Worli Police have arrested a 56-year-old man for allegedly selling beef illegally in BDD Chawl in South Mumbai.

The incident came to light when a political party took up the issue with Worli police, who then raided an apartment and nabbed the accused.
