Former GM, WR held for paying Rs 90 lakh bribe to rail minister's nephew

VK Singla allegedly accepted the bribe from a member of the Railway Board, Mahesh Kumar, former GM of Western Railway

Last night the CBI arrested Vijay Singla, the nephew of Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, in Chandigarh, on bribery charges. His arrest was followed by that of Railway Board member Mahesh Kumar in Mumbai. Kumar was made a Railway Board member only on Thursday. Prior to that, he was the GM, Western Railway.
