Thane Ganeshotsav: 10,281 idols immersed on Anant Chaturdashi

Thane Municipal Corporation said 10,281 Ganesh idols, including 281 public idols, were immersed across the city on Anant Chaturdashi, with 6,867 immersions taking place in artificial ponds amid the civic body’s eco-friendly arrangements

A total of 10,281 Ganesh idols, including 281 public idols, were immersed across Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) limits on Anant Chaturdashi, the civic body said on Saturday.
According to TMC, the immersions were carried out at designated sites under arrangements made by the civic body as part of its environment-friendly Ganeshotsav initiative.
