The Dindoshi police officials were involved in a massive 24-hour search operation for the three minors who were part of the group that gang-raped a 16-year-old girl in Goregaon (E) on November 1
Cops said that they had details of their whereabouts and are hopeful of locating them at the earliest. The trio went into hiding in the dense forest area of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Malad (east), after the survivor had approached the police.
Police have also questioned their friends and family members to secure leads on their location. Dindoshi police said two of the absconding minors had criminal records with several cases of property offences registered against them. They have been identified as Azgar Afzal Khan, Arjun Selva Pillai and Rahul Bairagi.
