Four motorcycle-borne robbers opened fire at a jewellery unit employee before snatching his bag and fleeing from the scene on SV Road on Thursday, police said here.

"The victim identified as D Arvind was rushed to nearby hospital with bullet injuries," Deputy Police Commissioner Ajit Patil said.
