Kurla and Mumbai Central stations are suicide hotspots

<p>Of the Western and Central Railways&rsquo; 127 stations, these two accounted for nearly half of all suicides in 2013 and more than 75% this year; motormen and officials baffled by statistics</p>

Mumbai’s suburban railway tracks, which claim the lives of nearly 10 people every day, have also become hotspots for those seeking to end their lives. Since 2013, 79 people have committed suicide by jumping in front of trains and, out of the 127 railway stations on the Central and Western lines, most of them chose Kurla and Mumbai Central to do so.
