In a devastating incident that sent shockwaves through Maharashtra's Raigad district, a 15-year-old student lost his life during a school javelin practice session. Hujefa Daware, the young victim, was struck by a javelin thrown by another student in a freak accident that unfolded at INT English School in Purar, Goregaon, located in the Mangaon taluka of the district.

Hujefa Daware had bent down to tie his shoelace and didn't realise the pointed object was moving towards him, PTI reported quoting an official. Daware, an active member of the school's javelin team, had been preparing for an upcoming taluka level meet. The tragic incident occurred on fateful Wednesday afternoon while students were engaged in javelin throwing practice on the school's grounds.
