Mahalaxmi multimodal skywalk to cut Metro, rail, Monorail transfer time by 20 minutes

Mumbai commuters are set to benefit from a 283-metre multimodal skywalk connecting Metro Line 3, Mahalaxmi railway station and the Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk Monorail station. The 60-crore MMRDA project is around 90 per cent complete and is expected to reduce interchange time by nearly 20 minutes.

Mumbai commuters could soon save around 20 minutes while switching between the Metro, suburban railway, and Monorail at Mahalaxmi, with MMRDA’s Rs 60-crore multimodal connector now around 90 per cent complete.
The 283-metre-long skywalk will connect Mahalaxmi railway station and Metro Line 3 with Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk Monorail station. MMRDA says it will be India’s first skywalk equipped with travellators.
