As India prepares to celebrate Independence Day, the NGO Making The Difference (MTD) has launched the 2026 edition of its flagship campaign — Mera Tiranga, Meri Shaan. To ensure that no national flag is discarded disrespectfully, the organisation has introduced a convenient, cost-free collection mechanism: citizens, schools, and housing societies can now send their used or damaged flags to the NGO’s office via Porter or Rapido, with all delivery charges fully covered by the NGO.

First launched in 2023 under the core belief that “a national flag is not waste; it is a symbol of our pride, identity, and sacrifice,” the campaign has facilitated the respectful disposal of over 1000 Tirangas.
