Maharashtra local body elections: Thane lists 11 vote counting centres, polling in city on Jan 15

The civic administration has said that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that the counting process is transparent, smooth and secure. Police security and CCTV surveillance have been put in place at all counting centres

Ahead of the Maharashtra local body elections, the Thane civic administration has finalised 11 vote counting centres for the city. Polling for the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) is scheduled on Thursday, January 15, while the counting of votes will take place on Friday, January 16.

An official statement on Wednesday said that all centres will be equipped with strong rooms, security arrangements and necessary facilities to ensure a smooth and transparent counting process.
