A total of 86 new coronavirus-positive cases were detected in Maharashtra on Tuesday, taking the number of infections since January 1 this year to 959, the health department said, reported news agency PTI.
Of these patients, 435 have recovered so far, while active cases are 510.
Four patients have died in the state since Monday with Nagpur reporting two deaths, while Chandrapur and Miraj recorded one fatality each, it said.

Of the total number of 509 cases reported in Mumbai since January, 503 were recorded in May alone.
From January, a total of 14 patients in the state have succumbed to the viral infection, 13 of whom were suffering from comorbidities.
They suffered from various diseases, including nephrotic syndrome with hypocalcemic seizures, cancer, diabetic ketoacidosis, interstitial lung disease, cardiac arrhythmia, Parkinson's disease. One of them was a 47-year-old woman, who had symptoms of fever and shortness of breath, reported PTI.
The number of Covid-19 tests conducted in the state since January is 12,880 and after testing positive, regular treatment is being given to these patients, it said.
Meanwhile, India's active Covid-19 cases have crossed the 4,000 mark, with Kerala remaining the most affected state followed by Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi, according to the Union Health Ministry data released on Tuesday, reported PTI.
There are 4,026 active Covid-19 cases in India and five fresh deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
Since January this year, 37 deaths have been reported in the country.
There were 257 active patients in the country on May 22. The figure rose to 3,395 by May 31 and subsequently to 4,026 cases.
Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Dr Rajiv Behl on Monday stated that genome sequencing of samples in West and South have shown that the variants leading to the current rise in cases are not severe and are sub variants of Omicron only, reported PTI.
The four variants that we have found are subvariants of Omicron --- LF.7, XFG, JN.1 and NB. 1.8.1. The first three have been found in more number of cases, he said reported PTI.
