Aadhaar-RC name mismatch? Maharashtra RTO starts manual processing for transfer, NOC, and HPA services

The Maharashtra Transport Department has permitted manual processing of pending RTO applications for key vehicle-related services after a technical issue linking Registration Certificates (RCs) to Aadhaar disrupted online transactions across the state.

The decision follows the intervention of Transport Commissioner Rajesh Narwekar (IAS) after online applications for Transfer of Ownership, Hire Purchase Agreement (HPA), HP Termination, and No Objection Certificate (NOC) services were rejected due to a mismatch between vehicle owners' names on their RCs and Aadhaar cards.
