For most, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams are a test of memory and logic; for those with hearing impairments, they are a test of sheer resilience. Breaking through the barriers of silence, all six students of the Rochiram T Thadhani High School for Hearing Handicapped in Chembur have passed with flying colours, maintaining the school’s 100 per cent success rate held since 2003.
High scorers
Vedanti Mane topped the batch with 73.20 per cent, followed closely by Anush Shindhe (71.60 per cent), Harshada Kadam (68.40 per cent), and Sujal Tawade (66.60 per cent). Out of the six students from the Marathi medium, five secured a first-class distinction.
