Maharashtra TET paper leak: Govt considers MCOCA, plans online exams after question paper leak

The Maharashtra government is considering invoking MCOCA against those arrested in the TET paper leak case, has formed an SIT to investigate the leak, and plans to shift recruitment exams online to prevent future breaches

Day Teacher Eligibility Test was to be held

To crack down on exam paper leaks, the Maharashtra government is considering legal changes to allow those arrested in TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) and other paper leak cases to be booked under the stringent MCOCA. It also plans to appoint a committee headed by the chief secretary to suggest measures for shifting examinations to an online mode.

SIT formed for probe

On Monday morning, School Education Minister Dada Bhuse made a statement on the TET exam paper leak issue on the floor of the House, claiming that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the paper leak.
