The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) signed an MoU with Bharat Taxi, India's first cooperative-based ride-hailing platform, to strengthen last-mile connectivity across Mumbai by integrating app-based transport services with railway stations, Metro stations and bus terminals

Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday launched 'Bharat Taxi', India's first cooperative-based cab and vehicle service initiative, in the presence of Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol.

The mobile application-based service will offer two-wheelers, autorickshaws and four-wheeler cabs. Operating on a cooperative model, Bharat Taxi aims to improve drivers' earnings, enhance transparency and expand access to digital mobility services while strengthening urban transport.
